Ms. Readeux is a transformational leader and champion for the educational rights of all students.
As an educator, she has worked in some of the lowest performing schools for nearly two decades.
Ms. Readeux began her career as a Teacher Assistant and has served as an Elementary, Middle and High School teacher.
As an administrator, she has held significant positions which have allowed her to demonstrate leadership skills. Ms. Readeux served as a Specialist for the Academic English Mastery/Closing the Achievement Gap Branch, School Improvement Facilitator and Assistant Principal/Instructional Specialist at one middle and two comprehensive high schools. She has also been a Central Office administrator working as an Administrative Coordinator for the Leadership Academy-Talent Management division.
Ms. Readeux generates an intense instructional agenda. She is extremely knowledgeable about current literature and instructional strategies used to address the needs of culturally and linguistically diverse students. She works to build collaborative learning environments in order to help promote best practices and programs.
Her priorities as a site administrator include:
-Cultivating the instructional and leadership capacity of administrators and teachers
-Planning and delivering high interest professional developments
-Restructuring comprehensive schools into smaller units of learning to facilitate effective instruction and community building
-Leading successful school reviews such as the WASC Accreditation and Modified Consent Decree process
-Establishing a School-wide Positive Behavior Support campaign to promote positive interactions amongst staff, students and families
Ms. Readeux is committed to building strong teams focused on improving academic outcomes for all students.
Ms. Readeux received her Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Long Beach and her Master of Arts Degree with Credentials from California State University, Dominguez Hills.
